INTERVIEW : THE SOLUTIONS
Grâce à My music Taste et à l'occasion de leur tournée européenne, nous avons pu interviewer le duo de la Happy Robot Records pendant leur marathon effreiné. Retour sur notre entrevue avec Park Sol et Naru, leurs ressentis et découvrez à la fin de cette interview deux clips réalisé par le groupe, l'un qui résume cette tournée européenne sur "Tonight" et l'autre qui est une version unplugged de "Nothing's wrong" spécialement tourné à Paris.
Salut ! Pouvez-vous vous présenter en quelques mots. Comment vous-êtes vous rencontrés?
" Naru : Park Sol et moi, on avait nos propres activités, Sol voulait faire de la musique folk avec un côté rock et moi, ayant déjà une expérience dans un groupe c'est en tant que producteur que j'ai été amené à le rencontrer. "
Vous êtes actuellement pour la première fois en tournée en Europe, quelles sont vos impressions ?
" Park Sol : C'est la première fois qu'on vient en Europe. C'est aussi notre premier tour ici, on avait déjà fait un tour en Asie notamment en Thailande et au Japon, mais là tout est nouveau. Malgré la différence de culture, ce sont des pays qui sont intéressants et étonnant à la fois. Néanmoins, ça fait plaisir de constater que des gens viennent pour nous voir."
Nous avons pu vous découvrir sous un nouveau jour vendredi dernier au Nouveau Casino de Paris avec votre DJ set. Avez-vous d'autres talents cachés comme le Djing ?
"Naru : ...*réfléchi*
Park Sol : (pour Naru) il sait très bien dessiner !!
Naru : Je monte à vélo depuis longtemps *rires*
Park Sol : Moi je sais pas trop.. j'ai perdu mon portable. J'crois que je perds très bien les choses. Cette année, j'ai perdu mon portable deux fois, une fois en Corée et l'autre fois ici en arrivant à Paris. Perdre les choses c'est de mon domaine je crois *rires* "
Parmis votre second opus, quelle est la chanson que vous aimez le plus ou qui représente quelque chose de spécial pour vous? Si vous en avez une, pourquoi?
" Naru : Pour moi c'est My War, elle a ce côté rock et aussi cette variété des arrangements, au synthé.
Park Sol : Pour moi Jungle in your mind et Rise and Fall ... ce sont deux morceaux qui dans l'ensemble ont cette ambiance et ce mood (humeur) qui fait que quand je me concentre je me laisse prendre. "
Pourquoi utilisez-vous l'anglais au lieu du coréen dans vos chansons?
" Naru : Dans un premier temps on choisi la couleur, les nuances de la chanson. Aussi en écrivant en coréen il y a ce sentiment de déséquilibre, alors que l'anglais colle mieux avec la diction et la mélodie."
Y a-t-il des artistes avec qui vous aimeriez travailler pour de futures collaborations ?
"Naru : Qui ça pourrait bien être ? Hm.. Foals ?
Park Sol : Je n'y ai jamais vraiment réfléchi. Je sais pas. "
Connaissez-vous des artistes français ?
" Naru : Phoenix !
Park Sol : L'année dernière Phoenix était venu pour un concert en Corée auquel j'ai assisté. Je les adore depuis le lycée. Tahiti80 !! C'est depuis que Tahiti80 est venu en Corée que je les connais, je pensais qu'ils étaient français mais j'ai entendu dire qu'ils étaient belges ? .. Je connais aussi la femme du président Sarkozy.. Carla Bruni! "
Des plans pour 2015?
"Park Sol : Nous avons été choisi par le célébre producteur américain Jimmy The Glass pour aller à Miami pour un festival en février prochain. "
Un dernier petit message pour vos fans français?
" Naru : Merci d'avoir de l'intérêt pour nous, on se déplace un peu partout mais on adore profiter des endroits où l'on peut aller.
Park Sol : Les français sont chanceux de vivrent dans une si jolie ville. Nous voulons revenir ici.. d'ailleurs si quelqu'un retrouve mon portable contactez-moi *rire* "
안녕하세요. 소개해주세요. 둘이 어떻게 만났어요?
" 나루 : 처음에 솔이와 제가 따로 활동을 하고 있었는데 솔이가 예전에 포크 음악을 하다가 락적인 색깔을 입혀서 작업을 하고 싶어했기때문에 제가 밴드를 한 경험이 있어서 프로듀서로 참여하게 되면서 만나게 됐어요. "
지금 유럽에 첫 투어인데 느낌이 어때요?
"박솔 : 유럽에 저희가 처음와봤어요. 유럽 투어도 처음이고 아시아에서 태국이나 일본에서는 투어를 해봤어는데, 다 새로워요. 문화가 달라서 재밌기도 하고 신기하기도 하고 어떻게 보면 굉장히 먼 거리에 있는 나라잖아요. 한국과 유럽은 그럼에도 불구하고 저희 음악을 알고 보러와주시는 분들이 있어서 재밌는거 같아요. "
우리는 지난 금요일에 누보 카지노에서 두분의 디제이 셋을 봤는데요. 이것 말고도 또 숨겨진 재능이 있으세요 ?
" *웃음*
나루 : ... *생각하는중*
박솔 : (나루) 그림을 잘 그려요!!
나루 : 자전거를 오래 타요.
박솔 : 저는 글쎄요.. 핸드폰을 잃어버렸어요. 뭐를 잘 잃어버리는 것 같아요. *큰웃음* 올해 2014년에 핸드폰을 두 번 잃어버렸어요. 한국에서 한 번, 파리에 와서 소매치기 무언가를 잘 잃어버리는 것 같아요. 그것도 재능인 것 같아요.
*웃음* "
2집중에서 제일 좋아하는 노래가 있나요? 있으면 이유가 뭐니까?
" 나루 : 저는 My War ..락 적인 것이나 무언가 버라이어티 한 것이나. 편곡, 신디사이저.
박솔 : 저는 Jungle in your mind이랑 Rise and Fall. 두곡이 되게 전체적인 분위기가 무드가 제가 집중해서 빠질 수 있게 해줘요. "
가사들 위에 왜 영어를 사용해요? 이유가 있어요?
" 나루 :곡을 먼저 색깔을 많이 잡았는데, 거기에 한글을 쓰니까 언밸런스한 느낌이 있어서 딕션이나 멜로디가 영어가 더 어울려서요. "
앞으로 콜라보를 한다면, 어떤 아티스트와 콜라보 하고 싶으세요?
" 나루 : 저는 누가 있을까? 음.. Foals?
박솔 : 생각을 안해봤어요. 잘 모르겠어요. "
프랑스 가수 아세요? 알면 누구예요?
" 나루 : 피닉스 !
박솔 : 피닉스가 작년에 한국에 와서 공연했었어요. 공연에 가서 봤었어요. 고등학교때부터 좋아했었어요. 타이티80 !! 타이티가 여기에 와서 알게됐는데 프랑스 가수인줄 알았는데 벨기에 가수라고 하더라고요? .. 또한 사르코지 대통령 부인도 아는데... 칼라부르니! "
2015 계획은?
"박솔 : 내년 2월 미국 마이애미에서 지미 더글라스라는 유명한 프로듀서인데 지미 더글라스가 올 해 우리나라의 컨페런스에 와서 저희를 픽업했어요. "
마지막으로 프랑스 팬분들에게 한마디 해주세요.
" 나루 : Thank you for having interest about us we have to go to so many places, we always enjoy where we can go.
박솔 : 멋진 도시에 살고 있는 프랑스 사람들은 운이 좋은 사람인 것 같아요. 저희도 또 오고 싶고요, 혹시 제 핸드폰을 보게 된다면 한국으로 연락주세요. "
Hi ! Can you introduce yourself. How did you meet ?
" Naru : Park Sol and I, were doing separate activities, Sol wanted to do folk music with a rock side and I, since I already had an experience in a band it's as a producer that we met."
It's your first time here, what do you think about Europe ?
" Park Sol : It's our first time in Europe. It's also our first tour here, we did one in Asia, Thailand and Japan, but now it's all new for us. Despite the culture chock, those country are really interesting and surprising at the same time. However, it's a real pleasure to see that people coe just for seeing us. "
We had the opportunity to see you all over at the Nouveau Casino in Paris with your DJ set. Do you have any other talents ?
" Naru : ... *thinking*
Park Sol : (Naru) he paints very well.
Naru :
Park Sol : For me i'm not sure.. i lost my phone. I think i'm good at loosing things. This year, I lost my phone twice, once in Korea and the other one, here in Paris. Loosing things is my thing *laugh* "
From your second album, is there a song that you like the most or that mean something special for you. If yes, why?
" Naru : For me "My War" has that rock side and also this variety of arrangements
Park Sol : To me "Jungle in your mind", and "Rise and" Fall ", those two songs in general have that atmosphere and this mood when you concentrate that makes you fall in. "
In your lyrics, why do you use english instead of korean? Is there a particular reason?
" Naru : In a first time we choose the color of the song, then while writing in korean there is that unbalance feeling in english it fit way better with the elocution and the melody."
Are there artists with whom you would like to work for the future?
" Naru : Who could it be ? Mh.. Foals?
Park Sol : I haven't even thought about that. I don't know. "
Do you know any french artists ?
" Naru : Phoenix !
Park Sol : Last year, Phoenix came for a concert in Korea which I attended. I love them since high school. Tahiti80!! I know them since they came in Korea, I though they were french but I heard that they were belgian..? I do know president Sarkozy"s wife.. Carla Bruni! "
Any plans for 2015?
" Park Sol : We have been chosen by the famous American producer Jimmy The Glass to go to Miami for a festival in February. "
A last message for your french fans ?
" Naru : Thank you for having interest about us, we have to go to so many places but we always enjoy places where we can go.
Park Sol : French people are lucky to live in that awesome city. We do want to come back again.. by the way if someone find my phone contact me *laugh* "
