C'est avec un immense plaisir que l'équipe de MOKSORI s'est rendue à Londres pour assister au concert de rock coréen organisé par KOREA ROCK, le 28 avril 2013.
Le Barfly est une bâtisse décoré par des graphistes qui surplombe le coin d'une rue de Camden. C'est un endroit parfait pour se détentre avec des concerts tout en sirotant quelques boissons.
Ce 28 avril se déroulait l'un des concerts de la tournée du KOREA ROCK, organisé par des passionnés de musique coréenne en collaboration avec Hyundai Card. L'évenement était gratuit, ce qui a sans doute permis aux non-initiés de découvrir le rock coréen.
It’s with a huge pleasure that MOKSORI team went to London to attempt the Korean rock concert organized by KOREA ROCK, on 2013 April 28th.
The Barfly is a graphic artist decorated building which overlooks one of Camden’s street corner. It’s the perfect place to relax with concerts while sipping some drinks.
This April 28th was held one of KOREA ROCK tour’s concert, organized by korean rock lovers in collaboration with Hyundai Card. The event was free, which certainly helped uninitiated ones to discover Korean rock.

Les chansons de Galaxy Express ont une energie incroyable, d’autant plus grâce à la voix rauque et puissante de LEE JuHyun, chanteur et guitariste du groupe. Le groupe a enchainé ses chansons à la suite, en prenant de petites pauses pour scander deux-trois « ssibal) par-ci-par-là, puis ont commencé à jouer les premières notes d’horonbul, chanson titre de leurs dernier album, ce qui a encore plus déchaîné les fans présents dans la salle. Ces derniers ont suivit le groupe en scandant des lignes de la chanson, l’ambiance était à son comble. Ils ont terminé leurs prestations avec Dawn , Jungle the Black et Bye Bye Planet !
Galaxy Express’s songs gets an amazing energy, even more with LEE JuHyun’s husky and powerful voice, band’s singer and guitarist. The band chained songs one by one, taking little breaks to chant two/three “Shibal” here and there and then started to play “Horonbul”’s first notes (last album’s title song), which unleashed more fans in the room. Fans followed the band by chanting some lines, the atmosphere was at its height. They ended their performance with “Dawn”, “Jungle the Black” and “Bye Bye Planet”!
Pour finir cet incroyable concert, Gate flowers a prit place sur scène sous les cris stridents de ses fervents fans et, a commencé « à jouer » « We are one ». …. Après avoir « joué » quatre de leurs chansons, le groupe a commencé a joué les premières notes de « Paint It Black », célèbre chanson des Rolling Stones, enflammant le public …
To finish this amazing concert, Gate flowers sat on stage under the shrill cries of his ardent fans and began to play "We are one." .... After "played" four of their songs, the band started playing the first notes of "Paint It Black", a famous song by the Rolling Stones, igniting the crowd ...
Galaxy Express, Goonam, Gate flowers et Apollo 18 étaient les invités de ce soir.
Le concert a débuté avec le groupe Apollo 18, groupe post-rock/post-hardcore. Ils ont commencé a joué « Magnolia », sous les cris des fans déchaînés puis ont continué d’enflammer la scène avec Iridescent Clouds. Le groupe a montré chansons après chansons, qu’il pouvait tenir un public en haleine sans pour autant avoir de paroles sur leurs titres. Durant une des pauses, le guitariste a prit la parole pour scander « Shibal » (une insulte en coréen), suivit de près par les fans. Après avoir terminé de jouer leurs chansons, Apollo18 a quitté la scène pour laisser place à « l’énergique ( ?) » GALAXY EXPRESS qui fut salué comme il se le doit.
Galaxy Express, Goonam, Gate Flowers and Appolo 18 was tonight’s guests.
The concert debuted with Apollo 18, a post-rock/post-hardcore band. They started to play “Magnolia”, under unchained fans’ screams and continued to fire up the stage with “Iridescent Clouds”. The band showed, tracks after tracks, that they can hold an audience spellbound without having words on their songs. During one of the breaks, the guitarist chanted “Shibal” (a Korean insult), followed closely by fans. After completing their songs, Apollo18 left the stage to make way for the "energetic" GALAXY EXPRESS which was hailed as it owes.
Le troisième groupe à venir sur scène était Goonamguayeoridingstella (구남과여라이딩스텔라) aka Goonam , petit dernier de la bande de cette tournée. Le point important concernant ce groupe est qu’ils aiment jouer de la musique et, cela se sent sur scène. Ils ont une énergie folle, une joie de vivre incroyable et s’amusent comme il se le doit sur scène. Et la jolie claviériste Kim Na-un ajoute son brin d'énergie en dansant et jouant avec les membres du groupe. Nous connaissions peu le groupe et ce fut un véritable coup de cœur. Leur style psychédélique et sensuel a ajouté une touche de douceur après le côté « bourrin » des deux précédents groupes.
The third band to perform was Goonamguayeoridingstella (구남과여라이딩스텔라) aka Goonam, youngest of the band on this tour. The most important point about this group is that they love to play music and we can really feel it on stage. They have a crazy energy, joy of life and incredible fun as it is on the scene. And the pretty keyboardist Kim Na-a adds a touch dancing and playing with the group. We didn’t know the band so much and it was love at first sight. Their psychedelic and sensual style has added a touch of sweetness after the "harsh" side of the two previous groups.
Ce concert nous a permit d’assister à notre premier concert de rock coréen et, cela nous a donné envie de voir plus d’artistes sur scène. La solidarité qui se dégageait des quatre groupes se ressentait sur scène, mais, également en dehors de la salle, notamment lors des interviews. Galaxy Express nous avait demandé de supporter « Goonam », groupe « extraordinaire » selon eux. Mais, nous avions également remarqué que Sangyun (Apollo18) n’avait pas quitté la scène pour se reposer mais était resté lors du passage de GALAXY EXPRESS. Nous vous conseillons vivement d’écouter et de découvrir ses groupes incroyables !
This concert has allowed us to attend our first concert of Korean rock, and it made us want to see more artists on stage. The solidarity that emerged from the four groups was felt on stage, but also outside of the room, especially during interviews. Galaxy Express asked us to support "Goonam", "extraordinary" band accorded to them. But we also noticed that Sangyun (Apollo18) had not left the stage to rest but was still in the transition from GALAXY EXPRESS. We urge you to listen and discover those amazing bands!
